POLYDRUM is an italian minimal/experimental techno duo composed by Riccardo De Polo and Mattia Bonomi.
They started in 2010 after a long friendship despite completely different musical influences and conceptions.
Mattia Bonomi, expert researcher and music collector, begins the path of his musical journey at a young age.
He attended the course of Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Vicenza. He also is an mbira player and he’s usual to take his ambient recordings to assembling tracks, behind the studying of the violin.
Mattia is fascinated by the Nordic culture, in particular by the art scene of Reykjavik, that’s often a frequented destination.
Riccardo De Polo began studying the piano at the age of 3 years and he approaches very early to the music production which makes him a really polyglot artist. Riccardo has developed his international experience as a DJ playing in the important clubs of Northern Italy and in the city of Wiesbaden, Vienna, Mainz and Madrid.
In 2012 he graduated in Psychology at the University of Padua.
With the project POLYDRUM, the duo based in Verona built up their melodic and energetic tastes with many artists influences among which Jean Michel Jarre, James Holden and Four Tet.
Their works are characterised by intense strings and piano chords, with synth bells and edgy beats, as a fusion of ambient and electronic feel with a dancefloor impact cloak.
On the 20th July 2015 they release their first single track on the "TOUR DE TRAUM X", a new chapter of Traum Schallplatten, selected and mixed by Riley Reinhold.
